kuckoo 16 years agoMy grandfather (b. Wicklow 1899 d.Liverpool 1947) and his son (b.Liverppol 1926 d.Runcorn 2002) both risked their lives against the U-boat blockade in WW1 & WW2 respectively. It seems to me that the efforts of the Merchant Marine have never been properly recognised, and this applies even more so to the Canadians. So a big thanks to the sailors, especially the Canucks! Good song too!
